Winter Update
Its been busy at the offices of Toronto FC this past month. Local hero Dwayne De Rosario inked a 4 year contract worth between $350-400K with TFC and all we lost was rookie flop Julius James and (according to Ives Galarcep) $150-175K in allocation money.
The Superdraft also yielded some solid prospects in midfielder Sam Cronin, striker O’Brian White and goalkeeper Stefan Frei. None of which are expected to start but all are seen as solid depth players. 4th & 5th picks Mike Grella and Kyle Hall remain unsigned.
There is still a gaping hole in the centreback position and the rumours floating around about a DP striker. I firmly believe the striker will come (if at all) mid summer due to Mo alluding to the salary cap restraints time and time again. Despite that I feel TFC has enough fire power up front to create a splash yet the back line needs improvement. As of today I see the starting line up like this:

Perhaps Velez could be switched with Harmse. Either way this shouldn’t be an issue in two months time.
