Week 12 Round Up: TFC roll over Rapids
Better late than never…
The same can be about Rohan Ricketts who awakened by putting on the best performance by a player in a Toronto FC jersey to date. Ricketts doubled his career goal count with a big day at BMO by creating chances (as seen in his 2nd goal) all while Jeff Cunningham was squandering them. Dichio’s 20 yard volley to open the scoring definitely illustrated exactly why he will be staying with the club once reinforcements arrive.
The midfield held up another game with two big absences in Maurice Edu and Amando Guevara. Hats off to Robert who switched wings with Ricketts on the fly and made some excellent free kick attempts. Also, with the exception of the yellow card, Kevin Harmse looked solid out there for the first time all season.

Elsewhere there were some pretty predictable results for week 12
- Although I was really hoping Columbus would tank, going 4 loses in a row to KC just doesn’t seem like its in the cards for any team
- DC United looks like they’ve finally come out of their shell, about time for the so-called favorites to win the MLS Cup
- Buddle nets a hat trick as the Gals blank the expansion team. I’m still not convinced they’re any good
- New England looks strong and Houston still looks like an on/off team
- And poor old Chivas USA. I wouldn’t have called this game either way, but losing to RSL at home can never be a good thing
