Victorious and ready for Home-and-Home Round 2
On a cold and wet day with a slick as oil turf Danny Dichio put away the scrappiest goals I’ve seen since Cunningham pushed over an LA defender to go ahead in week 2… not that I’m complaining or anything. I’m loving every minute of our 6 game unbeaten streak especially after the drought from last year.
DC United looked like they couldn’t get anything done all night. That is a team in serious disarray. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some staffing changes after this weekend, especially after pull off another one goal victory at RFK (calling 2-1… Guevara & Smith!).
One thing I’m a little worried about is something that Carver made mention off a few weeks back. He doesn’t want a team content with just an average level of success and it seems for the larger portion of Wednesday’s game we were just sitting behind the ball and not doing anything to push forward. Edu also looks like he’s in pain. Lets hope our new found depth can hold out, because its certainly going to be tested over the next few weeks.
