Transfer madness as deadline approaches

  1. According to Goal.com Maurice Edu has been sold to Glasgow Rangers for a fee of $5 million. Edu, in his second year has had a disappointing campaign thus far as it has been marked by a lack of presence, sluggish play and numerous international call ups
  2. American stirker and former Bolton Wanderer Johann Smith has signed with the team on free transfer.  TFC swapped allocation money for allocation ranking with New England moving them from 13th to 2nd in order make the deal.  Smith, 21, a quick sprinter who once recorded a 10.5 second 100m dash spent most of his time in England on the Bolton reserves and at Carlisle of League One on loan where he earned 14 caps and 1 goal
  3. Manuel Diego Tello (tay-o) has been practicing at BMO this week.  A product of the Real Madrid youth system, the midfielder is said to be a good tool for distributing the ball with precision.  At 5′7″ 150lbs he’ll take Amando Guevara’s title is the little guy one the pitch

On the injury front we’re doing a lot better these days as we’re only out Tod Dunivant and Tyrone Marshall, who is still out for the next forseeable week with a thigh injury.  Returning back to service are Laurent Robert, Ricketts (who never actually was sidelined but did leave the Colorado game with cramps), and Danny Dichio who looks to have made a full recovery from his concussion.
