Time For The Big Test
Toronto FC travel to Foxboro to take on the league leading New England Revolution. The Rev’s start striker Taylor Twellman may see time as he has been considered healthy enough to make the line up, all be it not as a starter. Neither team has any International call ups to deal with so there should be no excuses on either side.

Todd Dunivant has had a bad week. The midfielder/defender has suffered a fractured ankle and will be out for at least 3 weeks. Also on the topic of ankle injuries Olivier Tebily still has not recovered from the sprain he suffered in the late states of the Kansas game. Could these injuries be a result of the field turf at BMO? One has to wonder.
The next month is going to be tough as the schedule is gets very heavy:
- June 28 at New England
- July 1 vs Vancouver
- July 5 vs Pachuca
- July 9 at Vancouver
- July 12 at Chicago
- July 15 vs Independiente
- July 19 vs San Jose
- July 22 vs Montreal
- July 24 All Star Game (some tfc players, line up announced July 10)
- July 28 at Salt Lake City
That’s a lot of football. I really think the team is starting to gel and we have a good chance at taking the majority of these games. Tonight’s match will be the big one, it will be interesting to see Pat Phelan suit up against the reds. I’m going out on a limb and calling a 1-1 draw (Dichio and Dube). We’re a totally different team than the one that lost 7-0 between two games in Foxboro and I’m certain Carver has the boys ready.
