TFC drop 3 points in DC
In a heart breaker the reds conceded two quick goals two minutes apart to go down 3-2 mid way though the second half. Sutton looked good for the most part, he made five stops on 8 shots. One on a bullet from Quaranta which the 6 foot 6 keeper couldn’t keep a handle on and was put away by Luciano Emilio. I do wonder if he had made the PK stop, would he have been called for jumping off the line early? If you look at the replay he’s clearly ahead the line before the ball is kicked:
Across the pond (there was a bad 24 hours of football for me this weekend) my home town team Leeds United failed in their promotion bid to ascend to the League Championship. Hopefully they can hold on to Jermaine Beckford but if not, there’s TFC’s striker problem solved… here’s hoping.
