Downturn
 
So I neglect the site for a couple of weeks and look what happens…
TFC has seen some terrible form in the past few weeks which has caused fans to groan and some to call for the head of John Carver delivered on a platter. The last time Toronto won again was against Colorado on June 14th and have since been winless in their past 9 games.
While we’re still not down and out in league action, our hopes of entering the CONCACAF Champions league has been put to an end. There’s a lot of talk about Jeff Cunningham blowing an easy goal against Montreal, but the team really failed as a unit. Not having a decent … a striker is certainly hurting us but we’re hurting defensively even more. Sure, we’re not giving up goals like we did last year but there is a distinct lack of closing down players which is hurting us more. Unless your name is Darren Huckerby then don’t expect a Toronto FC player muster enough respect to actually make a challenge on the ball. We need Tebily back so as to avoid any more Velez moments.
