Canada Cup ready for kick off!
This Tuesday we’ll see Toronto FC take on USL’s Montreal Impact in the first match of the first annual Canada Cup to see who will represent Canada in the upcoming CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Montreal is not a team to be taken lightly, despite their 2-4-1 record this season. Tuesday’s match will only be their second appearance at home this season in their newly built Stade Saputo. The boys in blue will be on a mission to prove that they can compete alongside MLS teams so it’ll be interesting to see former TFC defender Adam Braz in action as well as Impact legend Mauro Biello.
I’m not overly concerned about TFC depth. Robert’s red card in the DC match means he’ll be out of the line up for LA, but that won’t prevent him from playing Canada Cup games.  Maurice Edu is also being released for international duties so that means we’ll likely see Dunivant or local thug Kevin Harmse fill the role, if that’s the case then expect a few cards being thrown around.
