And still in 5th! It looks like we know which conference houses the real competition in MLS. Week 5 saw the eastern teams go 5-0 against the west while our own Toronto FC edged eastern counterparts Kansas City 2-0.

Moving on to week 6 our boys hosted the NY Energy Drink which resulted in a 1-1 stalemate amid a rainy day at BMO field. TFC looked solid defensively but hardly challenged the Red Bull D which brings me to Dichio. I hate to say it but he’s washed up… again. Dichio has looked slow all season which was highlighted last Saturday in his dismal performance. If John Carver insists on starting him then we should see him replaced with Cunningham no later than the 60th minute. Cunny has way too much talent to to be a last minute sub and we need to inject his pace if we expect to accomplish anything in the later stages of the match. But enough about that.

With my prediction coming true of TFC signing a new senior international every week we now have Olivier Teliby on our roster. He still hasn’t broke the starting line up, but rather has seen action on the practice squad. Carver is going to have some difficult decisions to make with regards to the back line as Marco Velez is finally coming into form. One thing is for sure, any worries about team depth come the Olympics have dissipated.
